The Road to the Women’s College World Series for the SEC begins Tuesday at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn.

And if the regular season is anything to go by, the 2024 SEC Softball Tournament won’t be an easy one to pull off with the league’s automatic qualifier up for grabs ahead of the NCAA Softball Tournament.

The Tennessee Lady Vols swept Kentucky this weekend to win their second outright SEC regular-season title and earn the top overall seed in the SEC softball tournament. Redshirt freshman infielder Taylor Pannell played heroically on Sunday to cap off the sweep for the Lady Vols as the Milan, Illinois native hit a walk-off home run against the Wildcats.

With the Lady Vols capturing the outright title and Florida winning the series against No. 8 Texas A&M, the Gators moved up to second place in this year’s tournament. The Gators, winners of nine of their last 12 games, beat the Aggies 11-3 on Sunday in rule-ahead fashion.

Texas A&M, Arkansas and Missouri round out the top five in the field. Here’s what you need to know about the 2024 SEC softball tournament:
