  • Adidas unveils India’s potential 2024 T20 World Cup jersey.
  • The new design is similar to the 2019 World Cup shirt, with minor changes.
  • It is likely that the Indian team will wear the new jersey for the World Cup.

Adidas, one of the leading sportswear brands and the official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, has introduced the team’s new T20I jersey for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup, which will take place in the United States and the West Indies.

The World Cup shirt bears a striking similarity to that of the 2019 World Cup, with only minor differences. The shirt has Adidas’ signature white stripes and a three-color stripe around the collar.

While it remains uncertain whether the Blues will wear this shirt for the big event, the timing of the kit’s release suggests that Rohit Sharma and his team will likely be seen in the new shirt when the T20 World Cup begins on June 2.

Earlier, India announced their squad for the big event. Notable players like KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan did not make the 18-member squad, while Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh were listed as traveling reserves.

It is worth noting that India are in Group A along with their long-standing rivals, Pakistan. The two teams are scheduled to face each other in one of the most highly anticipated matches of the World Cup on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
