New York Giants hire great franchise to staff as team scout

The New York Giants are hiring former offensive lineman Chris Snee to the staff as a team scout, according to multiple reports Monday evening.

Snee has long wanted to join the Giants ranks since retiring in 2013. He spent 10 seasons with the Giants after becoming the No. 34 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Boston College.

Snee eventually became one of the best offensive linemen in Giants history. He helped forge an offensive line that paved the way for two Super Bowl victories (XLII and XLVI).

He was an All-Pro First-Team selection in 2008 and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection (2008-2010, 2012). Snee was also inducted into the Giants’ Ring of Honor in 2015, just two years after he retired.

After hanging up his spikes, Snee spent time as a scout with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019 under former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, who was then an executive vice president.

Snee has spent the past two seasons as an analyst at his alma mater, Boston College.
