NY Giants NFL Offseason Schedule, Key Dates After the 2024 NFL Draft

play

The New York Giants have had a busy offseason.

They made a big splash in March by trading for star pass rusher Brian Burns and parted ways with Saquon Barkley (Eagles) and Xavier McKinney (Packers) when free agency opened. They signed a new running back (Devin Montgomery) and looked to strengthen the offensive line by signing four new players, including potential starters Jon Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Eluemunor.

They selected six players in the 2024 NFL draft, a class headlined by electric wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Now their attention turns to key offseason dates, camps, schedule releases and more. Here’s what you need to know about the Giants’ offseason and what’s next.

When will the Giants’ 2024 schedule be released?

What we know about the release of the 2024 NFL schedule: The league has promised it will come out in May. There were the first reports that we could get the schedule as early as Thursday evening. However, that is unconfirmed. We already have the Giants’ opponents, just not the dates. Here’s who Big Blue will face this season:

In addition to the home-and-home series, the Giants will play the Cowboys, Eagles and Commanders within the division, they will also play all four teams in the AFC North and NFC South. And with the 17-game schedule, there is one additional game against an AFC team, also tied to the division finish, and next year that team will be from the AFC South.

The NY Giants opponents in the 2024 NFL schedule

Here’s how things will go this season and which teams the Giants will play:

Home: Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings

From: Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, *Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks

*The Panthers will host a game in Munich, Germany, as part of the international series. So the Giants are a possibility to play Carolina there instead of in Charlotte.

When is NY Giants rookie camp?

The Giants will host their six NFL draft picks for minicamp this Friday and Saturday. The festivities will also include undrafted free agents and free agent tryouts, both rookies and select veterans trying to earn a spot on the roster. The two-day event marks the arrival of the rookie class and will feature meetings and two field practices with Brian Daboll and his coaching staff that will serve as orientation for the team.

What is the NY Giants offseason minicamp schedule?

The Giants are currently in the second phase of the voluntary offseason program, with the first of 10 OTAs (team offseason activities) scheduled for May 20. The full OTA schedule (May 21, May 23, May 28-29, May 31, June 3-June 4, 7) runs until the team’s mandatory minicamp, scheduled for June 11-13.

When do the Giants start training camp?

The Giants typically begin camp in late July, with the entire team reporting to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford around that time. Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell indicated during the annual meeting at the end of March that he expects his team to hold joint practices with the Giants again sometime in August, this time in New Jersey.

When will NY Giants cut 53-man roster?

The current 90-man roster is fluid, and general manager Joe Schoen will typically work the bottom of that roster after rookie camp and then toward the conclusion of the offseason program in June. Roster cuts will occur during training camp in August, with final cuts coming in the third week of the preseason.
