Vote for Knoxville’s best baseball player in the TSSAA playoffs


With the regular high school baseball season over and the TSSAA playoffs continuing, fans in the Knoxville area will have the opportunity to vote for the baseball player they believe had the best season in the region. The polls close on Friday at 4 p.m., so don’t wait too long.

Luke Treece, Kolenveld: Treece, the district player of the year, has a .476 batting average, 12 doubles, six triples, five home runs, 34 RBIs and 46 runs scored. As a catcher, he has a fielding percentage of .995.

Eli Evans, Farragut, Sr.: The East Tennessee State signee has a team-high .443 batting average, 11 doubles, eight home runs, a team-high 43 RBIs, 31 runs scored and 35 walks to end the regular season.

Carson Quillen, Greeneville, Jr.: The Virginia Tech commit has a 0.98 ERA, 33 strikeouts, seven walks, a 3-1 record and one save in 35.2 innings. Quillen bats for a .493 batting average, 37 hits, 15 doubles, one home run, 23 RBIs, 29 runs scored and stolen bases.

Will Price, Gibbs, So.: The lefty pitcher has a 7-0 pitching record and an ERA of 0.95. As a hitter, he has a batting average of .451.

Andrew Hill, Knoxville Central, Sr.: In 27 games, the East Tennessee State signee has a .493 batting average, nine doubles, two triples, four home runs and 18 RBIs. On the mound, he has 60 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.82 in 42.2 innings. He also has seven walks and a 5-1 record.

Jaxon Walker, Loudon, Sr.: In 32 games, the Tennessee native has a .478 batting average, 43 hits, 33 RBIs, 25 stolen bases, eight home runs and four doubles. In 15.1 innings pitched, Walker has a 2.74 ERA and has struck out 23.

Cade Batchelor, Maryville: In 25 games, the Belmont signee has a .419 batting average, 26 hits, seven doubles, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored.

Michael Teasley, Oak Ridge, So.: Teasley has a .473 batting average, 15 doubles, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. On the mound, he has a 5-2 record with 50 strikeouts.

Trevan Myers, Pigeon Forge, Sr.: In 17 games, Myers has a .535 batting average, 25 runs scored, 23 hits, 19 RBIs, 18 stolen bases and six doubles. From the mound he has a 7-0 record and in 24 innings pitched he has struck out 48, allowed eight hits and not allowed a run.

Brady Scott, Sevier County, Sr.: In 50.2 innings pitched, the Walters State signee has a 1.38 ERA, a 7-1 record, 88 strikeouts and 14 walks. He is hitting .379 and has three doubles, one home run and 10 RBIs.

Kai Correll, Sweetwater, Sr.: Correll has a .391 batting average, two home runs, 28 RBIs, 34 runs scored and 15 stolen bases. From the mound, he has struck out 31 and has a 3.078 ERA and a 6-2 record.

Ty Edds, Union County, Jr.: Edds has a .378 batting average, eight home runs, 25 RBIs, 25 runs scored and 22 stolen bases.
